Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Absence and Time Tracking Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Workday's Absence and Time Tracking modules, with experience in configuration, implementation, and optimization. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design effective solutions, and support key functionalities that enhance leave management, accruals, and time tracking processes. Additionally, the consultant will work with technical teams—including data and integration specialists—by providing functional inputs and validating testing scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday Absence and Time Tracking modules.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices for Workday Absence and Time Tracking.
  • Gather business requirements, lead client workshops, and translate needs into Workday configurations while maintaining functional documentation.
  • Configure absence-related business processes, including leave of absence, accruals, time-off plans, eligibility rules, and absence reporting.
  • Set up Workday Time Tracking processes such as work schedules, time entry, time calculations, and approval workflows.
  • Configure security roles, reports, and dashboards in Workday.
  • Collaborate across functional teams to ensure smooth integration of business processes.
  • Work closely with data and integration teams to provide functional insights, validate testing scenarios, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Conduct end-to-end system testing, including test case preparation, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Deliver end-user training and develop comprehensive documentation.
  • Stay current with Workday updates and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), leading the team, making key decisions, and reporting status updates to the PMO.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • With 3+ years of experience working with Workday Absence and Time Tracking.
  • Excellent knowledge of Workday Core Compensation configurations, workflows, and reporting.
  • Experience with Workday security, business processes, and integrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience in stakeholder and team management.
