Job Description

Responsibilities

Role Overview:

As a Policy Specialist, you will independently deliver end-to-end policy launches and cross-functional projects as a key contributor. You will act as a policy project lead — developing, launching, and implementing policies across various business and product domains. You'll independently devise creative solutions to policy challenges, influence across teams to align resources and direction, and serve as a subject-matter specialist shaping long-term

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, manage, and implement global product policy and standards with a strong regional focus, incorporating local cultural context and community understanding across product platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors across teams to develop and implement product policies and standards for a diverse range of products.
  • Participate in investigations and respond to external inquiries — reviewing, processing, and responding to requests and real-world investigations involving users.
  • Independently manage and resolve high-impact, cross-product policy escalations.
  • Identify, prioritize, and craft responses to current and emerging policy issues, assessing potential business and user impact.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and launch products, features, and processes that promote user trust and uphold policy standards.
  • Conduct strategic analysis across the enforcement pipeline — identifying, evaluating, and recommending ways to optimize human review performance and policy development, with minimal guidance.
  • Drive data-informed decisions to enhance policies and strengthen enforcement posture.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in policy, legal, Trust & Safety, or technology environments.
  • Strong community knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes.
  • Excellent communication and logical/analytical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated crisis management capability.
  • Strong stakeholder relations and influencing skills.
  • Solid grounding in policy fundamentals.

Preferred/Additional Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics & modeling.
  • Proficiency in operations improvement.
