The Role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Accountant / Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting the day-to-day finance operations of the agency.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end closing activities, managing billing and payment processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations. You will also work closely with our client servicing teams to ensure projects are billed accurately and on time.

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You Will Be Doing

Financial Operations

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Process vendor invoices, client billings and payment collections.
• Process employee expense claims.
• Prepare and coordinate payment runs.
• Work closely with client servicing teams on project billing and cost tracking.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and approved.
• Maintain general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations.

Billing & Revenue Support

• Prepare and issue client invoices for retainers, campaigns and project-based work.
• Partner with client servicing teams to manage billing schedules and ensure timely invoicing.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and support collection efforts where required.

Month-End Closing

• Support monthly and year-end financial closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Perform bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and internal controls.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits.
• Maintain accurate and organised financial records.

Reporting & Administrative Support

• Support the Finance team with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
• Assist with finance-related projects and process improvements as required.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in the advertising, marketing or professional services industry will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Well-organised, detail-oriented and highly accurate in your work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive self-starter who is able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team.
• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
