Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Solution Specialist to join our client's global Master Data IT team. In this role, you will act as a critical bridge between global IT standards and local business needs, specifically focusing on the North and South American regions.
This is a key coordination and technical role dedicated to supporting the delivery of a high priority, long term strategic project. You will be responsible for solution design, project planning, progress tracking, and integration testing across various application platforms.
Due to the regional alignment, candidates must be comfortable collaborating across multiple time zones (supporting stakeholders in the Americas from our office in Malaysia).
Your future duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Coordination & Alignment: Act as the primary regional point of contact for Global MDM technical topics, ensuring alignment between global standards and local needs in North and South America.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with global and local IT and business teams to gather requirements and support project delivery across multiple active initiatives.
- Project Management & Tracking: Coordinate and follow up on several concurrent projects, actively tracking progress, risks, and ensuring project timelines and priorities are respected.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify potential risks, issues, or timeline deviations, assess their business impact, and suggest mitigation solutions in coordination with the Solution Manager.
- Solution Design Support: Contribute to overall solution design by supporting the definition of appropriate technical approaches in line with global architecture guidelines.
- Testing Coordination: Lead and coordinate integration testing activities across involved systems, teams, and platforms, including scripting, execution, and documentation.
- Documentation & Reporting: Ensure clear, structured, and up to date documentation of solutions, design decisions, and key project discussions. Provide regular status updates and visibility to stakeholders.
- Meeting Facilitation: Organize and facilitate regular status meetings, workshops, and alignment sessions with diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Technical & Professional Experience:
- Proven hands on experience in data centric projects (e.g., data architecture, data modeling, data quality, data integration).
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination or project management within an IT context.
- High proficiency in standard business tools, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Education & Language:
- English (Fluent): Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory as the service must be delivered in English.
- Mandarin (Plus): Fluency in Mandarin is considered a strong advantage to support global collaboration.
Core Soft Skills:
- Proven experience working with diverse stakeholders, multiple regions, and multicultural teams.
- Strong capability to work independently under tight deadlines and proactively communicate project status.
- Excellent analytical and business analysis skills to identify areas for system/process harmonization.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong teamwork/collaboration skills.
- Ability to work flexibly across different time zones to support international stakeholders.
Preferred/Nice To Have Skills
- Knowledge or experience with back office/front office ERP systems, specifically SAP.
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Familiarity with project management and issue tracking platforms, specifically Jira.
- Prior experience with enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, such as Tibco EBX, SAP MDG, or Informatica.
