Role Description
- Maintain accurate and timely General Ledger (GL) records and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare balance sheet schedules and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Manage inventory accounting, including inventory valuation, stock movements, and reconciliation with warehouse records.
- Monitor inventory transactions and investigate any discrepancies between physical stock and accounting records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Support annual statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits by preparing the required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control procedures.
- Work closely with the Production, Warehouse, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure accurate inventory and cost reporting.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant working experience in General Ledger and/or Inventory Accounting.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
