Responsibilities
Role Overview
We are seeking a
Senior OpenShift Engineer
with
5+ years of experience
to design, implement, and manage our enterprise Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). This is a full-time,
on-site role based in Singapore
. You will modernise our critical banking infrastructure, automate deployment pipelines, and ensure high availability while adhering to strict local financial regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Cluster Management:
Architect, deploy, configure, and maintain production-grade OpenShift clusters across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
Automation & DevOps:
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Tekton, Jenkins) for seamless container deployment.
Security & Compliance:
Implement rigorous security controls, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), network policies, and container image scanning.
Performance Tuning:
Monitor cluster health, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and optimize resource utilization using Prometheus and Grafana.
Backup & Recovery:
Design and test robust disaster recovery (DR) and backup strategies for stateful and stateless containerized workloads.
Local Collaboration:
Work directly with on-site application development teams to guide them on cloud-native best practices and microservices architecture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in container orchestration, specifically dedicated to Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and Kubernetes.
Operating Systems:
Deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and RHEL CoreOS (RHCOS).
Infrastructure as Code:
Proficiency with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
Networking & Storage:
Strong understanding of OpenShift networking (OVN-Kubernetes) and enterprise storage solutions (CSI, Ceph, ODF).
Programming/Scripting:
Competency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go for infrastructure automation.
Location Requirements:
Must be willing to work fully on-site in Singapore and meet local employment authorization criteria.
Preferred Banking Experience
Experience maintaining compliance with international and local financial standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC2).
Experience deploying highly secure, isolated network zones (DMZ) for internet-banking applications.
Proven track record of managing high-transaction, low-latency microservices architectures.
Certifications:
Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) is preferred.")
