We're Hiring | Risk & Safety Engineer

Do you enjoy leading risk workshops, performing safety studies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe and reliable facilities?
At CELESTAL, we are currently supporting a major international energy project and are looking for a Risk & Safety Engineer to join an experienced Process Safety team.
️ Your Responsibilities:
Risk Assessment & Safety Studies
• Prepare, facilitate, and report risk workshops including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, ALARP, Bow Tie, and Safety Design workshops
• Perform qualitative, semi-quantitative, and quantitative risk assessments and Formal Safety Assessment (FSA) studies
• Conduct Fire & Explosion Risk Analysis, Occupational Risk Analysis, Structural Risk Analysis, Ship Collision Risk Analysis, Dropped Object Risk Analysis, and other process safety studies
• Support Escape, Temporary Refuge, Evacuation & Rescue Analysis, Emergency Systems Survivability Analysis, and ALARP evaluations
Safety Engineering & Technical Documentation
• Prepare Safety Cases and Safety Reports throughout project execution
• Develop Facility Descriptions, Safety Management System documentation, FSA documentation, Hazard Registers, and Bow Tie Diagrams
• Ensure compliance with Oil & Gas safety standards, engineering practices, and applicable regulations
• Support safety engineering activities across offshore and onshore facilities, including fixed and floating production systems, subsea pipelines, drilling, and processing plants
Project Delivery & Collaboration
• Deliver assigned engineering activities on schedule and within budget
• Identify and communicate potential task overruns proactively
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality safety solutions
• Prepare clear technical reports and effectively communicate engineering recommendations to clients and project teams
• Follow company engineering procedures and project management systems throughout project execution
What We're Looking For:
Experience
️ Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (Master's degree is a plus)
️ 5–8 years of experience in Process Safety or Risk Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry or another high-hazard industry
️ Experience supporting projects through Concept Studies, FEED, Detailed Design, Installation, Commissioning, Operations, Brownfield, Greenfield, and Decommissioning phases
️ Technical Skills
️ Process Safety methodologies (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, ALARP, Bow Tie)
️ Formal Safety Assessment (FSA), Safety Case preparation, Hazard Registers, and Bow Tie Diagrams
️ Qualitative, semi-quantitative, and quantitative Risk Analysis, including Fire & Explosion, Occupational, Structural, Ship Collision, Dropped Object, and Emergency Response studies
️ Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas safety standards, codes, and engineering best practices
️ Excellent technical report writing, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
