About the Role
A global multinational organization is seeking a Customs Data Analytics & Reporting Specialist (Chemical Background) to support its international customs and trade operations through data governance, reporting, analytics, and performance management.
This role will be responsible for maintaining customs-related data, developing dashboards and KPIs, generating business insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making across regional and global supply chain functions. The successful candidate will work closely with customs teams, business stakeholders, digital teams, and process experts to enhance reporting capabilities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Governance
- Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of customs-related data.
- Perform data mapping, validation, cleansing, and integration activities.
- Support customs data governance and reporting standards across global operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data quality and reporting processes.
Analytics & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and enhance customs dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting.
- Generate insights from customs and trade-related data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare management reports and visualizations for regional and global stakeholders.
- Support duty optimization and cost-saving initiatives through analytical reviews.
KPI & Performance Management
- Define, monitor, and track global customs performance indicators.
- Support performance reporting and scorecard management.
- Ensure consistent measurement methodologies across regions and functions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a key contact point for customs reporting and dashboard-related requests.
- Collaborate with customs, supply chain, process excellence, and digital teams.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and training related to customs reporting and analytics.
- Support continuous improvement and transformation initiatives involving customs data and processes.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in customs, trade compliance, supply chain operations, business analytics, or related fields.
- Experience working in a regional or global environment is preferred.
- Experience in dashboard development, KPI reporting, and analytical reporting.
- Experience within the chemical manufacturing, chemical distribution, petrochemical, specialty chemicals, or related industries is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of customs, trade compliance, or supply chain processes is advantageous.
- Experience with SAP master data environments; SAP GTS experience is a plus.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools is preferred.
