Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Biomedical Equipment Technician role based in Puchong, with some work-from-home flexibility for administrative and documentation tasks. The technician is responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing a range of medical equipment in hospital environments. Daily activities include performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, conducting safety and performance checks, and documenting all service activities in line with regulatory and company standards. The role requires close collaboration with clinical staff, timely response to service requests, coordination with suppliers or manufacturers when needed, and adherence to hospital protocols and electrical safety guidelines. Occasional on-site training for users and support during equipment audits or inspections may also be required.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in medical equipment, including equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Hands-on experience in equipment repair, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and safe working practices in hospital and clinical environments.
  • Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with hospital staff and documenting service activities clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel to hospital sites within Malaysia and work flexible hours when required.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or medical device service is an advantage.
