Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead pre-construction activities for data centre development projects, including planning, design coordination, cost management, procurement support, risk assessment, and stakeholder management. Ensure projects are fully prepared for construction execution while meeting technical, commercial, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage pre-construction activities from project initiation to construction start.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders on project planning and design development.
  • Review architectural, civil, structural, and MEP designs to ensure compliance with data centre standards and project requirements.
  • Support budgeting, cost estimation, value engineering, and procurement planning.
  • Drive tendering processes, vendor evaluations, and contract award recommendations.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Track project schedules, milestones, and key deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Facilitate design reviews and maintain effective stakeholder communication.

Assistant Manager

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of project, engineering, construction, or infrastructure experience.
  • Exposure to data centre, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale building projects preferred.

Manager

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
  • 8-12+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3-5 years in data centre or mission-critical projects.
  • Proven experience managing pre-construction, design, and stakeholder coordination for large-scale developments.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of data centre infrastructure, MEP systems, and project delivery processes.
  • Understanding of Uptime Institute Tier standards and mission-critical environments.
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, CDCP, CDCS, or similar certifications are advantageous.
