Role Description The AI and Agentic Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Penang, Malaysia. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying AI agents on the Teragrid platform, including implementing machine learning models, integrating neural network architectures, and building robust software components. The developer will work closely with product and engineering teams to architect end-to-end AI workflows, connect agents to data sources and APIs, and optimize performance and scalability in production environments. Daily activities include experimenting with pattern recognition techniques, applying natural language processing (NLP) to real-world use cases, writing clean and maintainable code, and participating in code reviews. The role also includes documenting solutions, collaborating on technical design discussions, and supporting continuous improvement of the platform and development tools.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong foundations in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
• Candidates should possess skills in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks for building and optimizing intelligent AI agents.
• Candidates should possess experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) for designing conversational and task-oriented AI agent behaviors.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in AI (such as Python or JavaScript) and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (such as PyTorch or TensorFlow).
• Candidates should possess the ability to work on-site in Penang, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Candidates should possess a relevant academic background, such as a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Candidates should possess experience with APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms; knowledge of MLOps, data pipelines, or distributed systems is beneficial.
• Candidates should possess a problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and interest in agentic AI, autonomous systems, and enterprise automation.
