Role Description The System Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cyberjaya. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining server and hosting infrastructure, including shared hosting, VPS, and dedicated servers. Day-to-day activities include monitoring system performance, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring reliability, security, and scalability of services. The System Engineer will handle incident response, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and provide technical support to internal teams and customers. The role also involves contributing to system documentation, assisting with capacity planning, and collaborating with colleagues to optimize processes and introduce improvements to the hosting environment.
Qualifications

• Strong Systems Engineering skills, including experience with server architecture, virtualization, and hosting infrastructure.
• Proficiency in System Administration, covering operating systems (e.g., Linux/Windows servers), user management, backup, and patch management.
• Hands-on Troubleshooting and Technical Support abilities for diagnosing and resolving network, server, and application issues.
• Experience with Systems Design, including planning and implementing scalable, secure, and high-availability solutions.
• Knowledge of web hosting technologies (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, email servers), networking fundamentals, and security best practices.
• Ability to work on-site in Cyberjaya, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Linux, Windows Server, networking) or a diploma/degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field are advantageous.
• Prior experience in a hosting or data center environment is a plus, along with good communication and documentation skills.
