As a Principal Engineer/ Tech Lead, you won’t just write code—you’ll shape the blueprint of our AI, data, and platform infrastructure. You’ll be a strategic thought partner to our leadership team and a technical mentor to engineers across the board.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and evolution of Arki’s technical architecture—AI models, data platforms, and backend systems—ensuring they are scalable, secure, and future-proof.
• Develop high-performing AI/ML solutions that drive insights and personalized user experiences from diverse datasets.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines and storage systems that support real-time analytics and decision-making.
• Partner with product, business, and operations teams to identify opportunities, scope initiatives, and translate needs into elegant engineering solutions.
• Set standards in quality, documentation, testing, and mentoring junior engineers.
• Facilitate seamless integration of tools, APIs, and services that enhance system performance and user impact.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies and frameworks, guiding Arki towards innovation that delivers real value.
• Drive security, compliance, and ethical standards across all data and AI workflows.
• Be the guardian of data integrity—ensuring accuracy, governance, and continuous improvement of our data assets.

About You

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a strong track record in designing, building, and scaling complex systems - especially in data and AI-heavy environments.
• Highly proficient in Javascript, Python, Go, or similar languages, and have architected solutions using AWS.
• Led the development of AI/ML pipelines and are comfortable deploying models into production.
• Proficient in DevOps, CI/CD, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with data engineering, including ETL pipelines, data lakes, streaming systems (e.g., Kafka, Spark), and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, governance, and ethical AI principles, and know how to implement systems that are both secure and compliant.
• Thrive in a collaborative environment, mentoring other engineers and influencing cross-functional teams with clarity and conviction.
