Job Summary

We are seeking a Security Engineer to manage and enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture. The role involves security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, identity and access management (IAM), security technology administration, compliance support, and security awareness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts, SIEM logs, endpoint security, email security, and threat intelligence feeds.
• Investigate, triage, and respond to security incidents, escalating when necessary.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Manage user access, privileged access reviews, and IAM processes.
• Administer and maintain security technologies including Firewalls, EDR, WAF, DLP, IPS, VPN, NAC, and email security solutions.
• Implement security hardening and baseline configurations across systems and cloud environments.
• Support security audits, compliance activities, and documentation aligned with RMiT and internal policies.
• Develop and maintain security SOPs, standards, and guidelines.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and security best practices across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Security Operations or Security Infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, NAC, VPN, IAM, and security monitoring tools.
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, Zero Trust, and BNM RMiT.
• Understanding of encryption technologies, threat intelligence, and incident response.
• Exposure to cloud security environments is an advantage.

• CompTIA Security+
• CEH
• CISM
• CISSP
• ITIL Foundation (added advantage)

Preferred Industry: Financial Services Industry (FSI) or large enterprise security environments.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
