Role Description
This is an on-site Fulltime role for an Operations Lead (Warehouse & Logistics) based in Bukit Raja. Lapasar is looking for a hands-on and results-driven Warehouse & Logistics Operations Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations and support logistics execution. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfilment, team performance, process improvement, and seamless coordination between warehouse and delivery operations through a dual-reporting structure. Job Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure orders for industrial and wholesale customers are fulfilled accurately and within SLA.
- Align warehouse execution with logistics scheduling and delivery plans.
2. Inventory & Stock Control
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Monitor stock movement, ageing, and inventory risks.
- Ensure proper storage and handling in line with product requirements.
3. Logistics Coordination (Dotted Line Function)
- Collaborate with the Logistics Manager on:
- Delivery planning and routing
- Transport utilization and cost efficiency
- On-time delivery performance
- Act as the operational bridge between warehouse and last-mile/delivery teams.
4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and report KPIs across both warehouse and logistics performance:
- Order fulfilment accuracy
- On-time dispatch & delivery
- Inventory accuracy
- Warehouse productivity
- Provide insights and corrective action plans for performance gaps.
5. Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement across warehouse and logistics touchpoints.
- Standardize and enforce SOPs to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Support system enhancements (WMS/ERP) to improve visibility and control.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and manage warehouse operations team members.
- Plan manpower, shifts, and resource allocation based on volume trends.
- Develop team capabilities through training and performance management.
7. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements in Malaysia.
- Maintain a safe working environment and enforce operational discipline.
- Support quality assurance to ensure product integrity during handling and delivery.
8. Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Procurement, Customer Service, Logistics).
- Manage escalations related to fulfilment, delivery delays, and stock discrepancies.
- Support key B2B/industrial client requirements and service levels.
Skills Required
- Strong warehouse and distribution operations knowledge.
- Experience working cross-functionally with logistics teams.
- Proficiency in WMS/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
Minimum Qualification
- SPM/Certificate/Diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus, with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in daily warehouse operations and handling stock in/stock out
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
- Ability to manage dual reporting relationships.
Salary Range : RM 3500 - RM 4500
