About SmartBite

SmartBite is a B2B food solutions tech company powering corporate meal programs across Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines, with more of Southeast Asia to come.

We handle the food side of working life — daily canteen/meal programs, meeting catering, town halls, festive celebrations and everything in between — for companies that would rather not spend their week chasing caterers. Our clients get dedicated key account managers and round-the-clock support. Our merchant partners get the technology and demand to grow a corporate order book they couldn't build on their own. We are digitizing a category that still runs on WhatsApp threads and paper invoices. It's a big, messy, deeply unglamorous problem — and that's exactly why it's worth solving.

The role

You'll own the day-to-day relationship for a portfolio of corporate accounts in Klang Valley — the HR managers, office managers and admin leads who rely on us to feed their teams without drama.

This is not an order-taking role. You're the person who makes sure a 300-pax town hall lands on time and hot, and the person who spots that a client running one weekly catering order could be running a full daily canteen program. Service excellence and commercial instinct, in the same job.

You'll report into the Malaysia commercial team and work shoulder-to-shoulder with Operations, Customer Support and our vendor partners.

What you'll do

Run the accounts

- Manage day-to-day inquiries, order coordination and delivery follow-through for your portfolio

- Coordinate with Operations, Customer Support and merchant partners to make sure every order lands correctly — right menu, right headcount, right time

- Handle service recovery when something goes wrong: own it, fix it, close the loop with the client

Onboard and grow

- Onboard new corporate clients — set up accounts, walk stakeholders through the platform, get the first orders running smoothly

- Build proposals, quotations and menu recommendations tailored to each client's budget, headcount and dietary mix

- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across our product lines (SmartCanteen, pantry, catering and events) and convert them

- Support sales campaigns, festive pushes and re-engagement of dormant accounts

Keep the engine clean

- Maintain accurate account records and pipeline in our CRM

- Monitor order performance and account health; flag risk early

- Prepare account reports and reviews for clients and internal stakeholders

- Collect and channel client feedback into service improvements

What we're looking for

Must have

- Experience in account coordination, sales support, customer success or customer service — ideally B2B

- Genuinely strong client communication: clear writing, active listening, and follow-up that actually happens. Comfortable with calling and follow-ups.

- Organized under pressure — able to juggle multiple accounts, competing deadlines and last-minute changes without dropping the ball

- Comfortable with technology: CRM systems, spreadsheets, ordering platforms, basic reporting

- Collaborative by default — you work well across Operations, Support and Sales rather than throwing problems over the wall

- Strong written and spoken English

- Able to work on-site in Kuala Lumpur

Strongly desired

- Catering or food service experience — you understand lead times, headcount buffers, dietary requirements, packaging and what actually goes wrong on the day

- Hospitality background — hotels, events, F&B, banquet or restaurant operations. If you've run service for a room full of people, you'll be good at this

- Commercial experience — you've carried a target, quoted a price, negotiated a renewal, or spotted and closed an upsell. You're comfortable talking money with a client

- Good in BM and Mandarin

- Exposure to corporate clients, MNC procurement, or vendor management

Nice to have

- Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or a related field — though equivalent practical experience carries equal weight with us

What we offer

- A commercial role with real ownership from day one, in a company small enough that your work is visible and fast enough that it compounds

- Direct exposure to how a regional B2B business is built — MNC clients, multi-country operations, real P&L conversations

- Mentorship from a commercial team that sells across three markets

- A clear path into Key Account Management or full Account Executive ownership for people who perform

- On-site in KL, with a team that actually eats together and a competitive compensation
