Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

Tender & Estimation

  • Prepare cost estimates and quotations for M&E and electrical projects.
  • Review tender drawings, specifications and contract documents.
  • Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ).
  • Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Prepare tender submissions within required timelines.
  • Assist in cost planning and value engineering.

Commercial Administration

  • Prepare progress claims and payment applications.
  • Prepare and evaluate variation order (VO) quotations.
  • Monitor project costs and budgets.
  • Assist in preparing final accounts.
  • Review subcontractor claims and payment recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.

Project Support

  • Liaise with project managers, consultants, clients and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress and cost performance.
  • Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractors.
  • Prepare commercial reports and cost analysis.
  • Support contract administration and project documentation.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with relevant M&E or construction experience will have an advantage.
  • Able to read construction and M&E drawings.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Responsible, organised and willing to learn.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
