An established technology organization is looking for an experienced supply chain professional to manage hardware availability across its data centre infrastructure portfolio.
This role covers supplier performance, material planning and supply-risk management for server, storage and networking equipment. You will work closely with manufacturers, component suppliers and internal teams to support large-scale infrastructure delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage strategic relationships with hardware manufacturers and component suppliers.
- Review supplier performance and agree improvements across capacity, lead times, quality and delivery.
- Analyze demand, supply and build data to ensure materials are available when required.
- Identify shortages and other supply risks, then develop and execute recovery plans.
- Monitor inventory levels, excess or obsolete stock and hardware lifecycle transitions.
- Coordinate material readiness for new product and infrastructure deployments.
- Work with engineering, planning, procurement, finance and logistics teams on build requirements and supplier decisions.
- Support cost reduction, supplier qualification and alternative sourcing initiatives.
- Maintain supply-chain dashboards and present clear recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements
- At least 7years of experience in supply chain, commodity management or material planning within a high-volume manufacturing or infrastructure environment.
- Hands-on experience managing rack-level server, storage or networking hardware at scale is essential.
- Strong track record of managing strategic suppliers and resolving performance or supply issues.
- Ability to interpret complex demand and supply data and turn it into practical actions.
- Confident working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business or a related discipline.
- Experience within a hyperscale data centre, cloud infrastructure provider or major ODM/OEM environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of hardware components such as processors, memory, storage devices, circuit boards, power supplies and cooling systems is preferred.
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems, regional supply chains across Asia, Mandarin communication, relevant professional certifications or total-cost improvement programmes would be advantageous.
