Job Description

Responsibilities

An established technology organization is looking for an experienced supply chain professional to manage hardware availability across its data centre infrastructure portfolio.

This role covers supplier performance, material planning and supply-risk management for server, storage and networking equipment. You will work closely with manufacturers, component suppliers and internal teams to support large-scale infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage strategic relationships with hardware manufacturers and component suppliers.
  • Review supplier performance and agree improvements across capacity, lead times, quality and delivery.
  • Analyze demand, supply and build data to ensure materials are available when required.
  • Identify shortages and other supply risks, then develop and execute recovery plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels, excess or obsolete stock and hardware lifecycle transitions.
  • Coordinate material readiness for new product and infrastructure deployments.
  • Work with engineering, planning, procurement, finance and logistics teams on build requirements and supplier decisions.
  • Support cost reduction, supplier qualification and alternative sourcing initiatives.
  • Maintain supply-chain dashboards and present clear recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 7years of experience in supply chain, commodity management or material planning within a high-volume manufacturing or infrastructure environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing rack-level server, storage or networking hardware at scale is essential.
  • Strong track record of managing strategic suppliers and resolving performance or supply issues.
  • Ability to interpret complex demand and supply data and turn it into practical actions.
  • Confident working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business or a related discipline.
  • Experience within a hyperscale data centre, cloud infrastructure provider or major ODM/OEM environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of hardware components such as processors, memory, storage devices, circuit boards, power supplies and cooling systems is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems, regional supply chains across Asia, Mandarin communication, relevant professional certifications or total-cost improvement programmes would be advantageous.
