Job Purpose

The Costing Executive is responsible for managing product costing activities, analyzing manufacturing costs, and providing accurate cost information to support pricing decisions, profitability analysis, budgeting, and operational improvements. The role ensures accurate calculation of product costs by monitoring raw material, packaging, labour, and overhead costs while working closely with Production, Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to improve cost efficiency and financial performance.

Key Accountabilities

· Prepare and maintain accurate product costing, cost estimates, and cost sheets.

· Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to ensure accurate product costing.

· Monitor cost variances and provide recommendations for cost control and process improvements.

· Perform inventory costing, stock reconciliation, and support inventory valuation activities.

· Assist in month-end and year-end closing related to costing and inventory.

· Prepare regular costing, margin, and profitability reports for management review.

· Collaborate with Production, Purchasing and Warehouse departments to ensure accurate costing information.

· Maintain and update costing data, Bills of Materials (BOM), and standard costs in the ERP/accounting system.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.

Perform other duties and projects assigned by superior from time to time.

Job Requirements/ Qualifications

Educational Background

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting and/or related field.

· Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Working Experience

· Minimum of 1-3 years of working experience in the costing, management accounting, or financial analysis, preferably in food & beverage manufacturing industry.

· Experience with manufacturing cost accounting, BOM costing, inventory costing, and variance analysis.

· Familiarity in ERP systems and Costing Modules (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).

Required language(s)

· Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

· Additional language proficiency (e.g. Mandarin) is an advantage.

Required Knowledge

· Strong understanding of manufacturing costing principles, including standard costing and absorption costing.

· Good knowledge of raw material, packaging, production, and overhead cost structures.

Required skill (s)

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret cost data and identify trends.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

· Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Detail-oriented with strong numerical accuracy and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within deadlines.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
