Job Description

Responsibilities

This role is advertised by Rock Productions Pte Ltd on behalf of our business entity, The Star Performing Arts Centre.


Role Overview

As a Technical Coordinator, you will be involved in operational equipment planning, administration of maintenance of technical assets, and execution of timely logistics for our high-level events. In this role, you will serve as the facilitator between the Production Coordination team and our Technical and Department Managers, ensuring seamless delivery of projects and events for all XPS clients.


Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Support & Coordination

  • Act as the primary point of contact with Department Managers for physical allocation of all required equipment as part of deployment ready preparation.
  • Lead logistic efforts in allocating manpower and transport vehicles through venders based on show asset requirements.
  • Manage project finances by supporting the PC teams with transport vendor quotations and scheduling pick up and return to warehouse timings.


2. Operational Leadership

  • Packing list facilitation, working with department managers to ensure each department completes and accounts for all show required equipment with respective packing lists ready for load-outs.
  • Optimize warehouse operations in collaboration with Department Managers to ensure the maintenance, storage, and transport safety of all assets.
  • Drive safety compliance by ensuring all health and safety procedures are adhered by all personnel involved in equipment transport.
  • Manage post-show equipment checks, allocating time for proper maintenance with the help of internal staff, vendor partners, and casual crew members as needed.
  • Maintain, track and advise asset lifecycles by tracking usage, wear rates, repairs and upkeep, recommending new equipment purchases in collaboration with Technical.
  • Manager and Department Managers for industry-standard replacements or additions to elevate our production value to the Head of Technical and Operations.


3. Documentation & Technical Standards

  • Maintain asset documentation by working with all department managers ensuring inventory of all assets is accurate at all times.
  • Tagging of all assets for the purposes of logging used hours as part of lifecycle planning using database, QR code or RFID for ease of accountability.
  • Streamline administration by preparing internal payment documents for vendor settlement as needed.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in technical production with deep knowledge of Live Events technologies for Audio, Video and Lighting.
  • Education: Minimally a Diploma in a technical production discipline.
  • Technical Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management platforms like ************* Proficiency in Vectorworks and Autodesk AutoCAD is highly regarded.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, a meticulous eye for detail, and the ability to lead multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Requirements: Must be comfortable working irregular hours and weekends as needed. A Class 3 License is preferred, ability to operate Reach Trucks are a plus, and a willingness to travel for overseas projects is required.
