Responsibilities

Duration : 1 year extendable contract

Location : Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia


Key Duties & Responsibilities (e.g. daily duties):

  • Analyze and understand end-to-end business processes across functional areas to identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization, and automation.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, map current processes, and assess automation feasibility.
  • Identify repetitive, manual, and high-volume tasks that can be automated using appropriate technologies and tools such as Microsoft Excel Macros/VBA, Python, Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, and other relevant automation solutions.
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Evaluate and recommend suitable automation tools and technologies based on business requirements, technical feasibility, and expected benefits.
  • Create technical documentation, process flows, user guides, and supporting materials for developed automation solutions.
  • Conduct Unit Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate functionality, accuracy, performance, and business requirements before deployment.
  • Work closely with end users and stakeholders during UAT cycles to gather feedback, resolve issues, and ensure successful adoption of automation solutions.
  • Ensure automation solutions adhere to organizational governance, security, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide training, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support to users on newly implemented automation solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in process improvement, business analysis, automation development, or related roles.
  • Basic to intermediate hands-on experience in automation tools and technologies such as Microsoft Excel VBA/Macros, Python, Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform (Power Automate), or similar solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand end-to-end business processes and identify automation opportunities.
  • Experience in gathering business requirements, documenting process flows, and translating business needs into practical automation solutions.
  • Good understanding of AI technologies and prompt engineering, with the ability to identify opportunities to apply AI in business processes and automation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies, including Unit Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with the ability to validate solutions against business requirements.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
