Universal Robina Munchy's Hiring! Full Time Corporate Communications Manager in Selangor - Ricebowl

Job Purpose:

• Lead the corporate communication function. Plan, execute and manage communication strategies which cover crisis management, corporate social responsibilities, employee communication, public affairs, media relations and community relations.
• Drive corporate sustainability - develop and execute ESG initiatives within the organization and responsible for sustainability certification program aligning with the URC group strategies and initiatives. Focal person in external sustainability audits - submit evidence of works, work closely with respective departments to develop action plans.
• In charge of CSR program - work closely with external CSR partners and NGOs to derive CSR activities, manage CSR budgets.
• Responsible to compile and keep up to date company work processes, SOP. Monitor the effectiveness of implementation the appropriate policies, process, procedures and guides. Work closely with the functional heads to keep it up to date in line with changes in laws, regulations and corporate directives.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Communications (Internal/External)

• Act as Crisis Communications Manager during crises.
• Develop and implement a clear and consistent corporate communications strategy across all aspects of external and internal communications.
• Serve as the primary contact for media relations, including briefing the CEO and senior management for media activities, and preparing holding statements, CEO speeches, and key messages.
• Write internal and external communications, including but not limited to press releases, speeches, and marketing collateral.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure all communications and published materials comply with corporate branding, image, and company policies.
• Manage and monitor all PRs and publications.
• Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with the media.
• Liaise with various media channels on corporate news and events.
• Strengthen the corporation's image through strong rapport and relationships with media personnel.
• Administer the corporate website by maintaining and updating corporate information.
• Act as the focal person for branding and company awards by submitting nomination materials, preparing advertorial materials, and writing articles and scripts.
• Take charge of corporate publications by writing articles, working with PR agencies, and contributing ideas and content.
• Coordinate the production of corporate videos by working with video production companies and conceptualizing content.
• Handle media enquiries relating to corporate information.

ESG

• Drive corporate sustainability by developing and executing ESG initiatives within the organization.
• Be responsible for the sustainability certification program.
• Serve as the internal compliance auditor by examining and evaluating the company's compliance with work processes, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the focal person for external sustainability audits by submitting evidence of work and collaborating closely with relevant departments to develop action plans.
• Manage the CSR program by working closely with external CSR partners and NGOs to develop CSR activities and manage CSR budgets.

Company Work Processes / SOP

• Compile and keep company work processes and SOPs up to date.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implementing company policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
• Work closely with functional heads to ensure policies, processes, procedures, and guides remain current and aligned with changes in laws, regulations, and corporate directives.

Education / Experience (Minimum entry-level requirements for the job)

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Communications, or any related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience, preferably in public relations / communications.
• Excellent communication skills with demonstrated writing expertise, including press releases, speeches, articles, etc.
• Skillful at creative problem solving.
• Proven track record of excellent public relations management and execution.
