City University Malaysia Hiring! Full Time Senior Lecturer - Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Selangor, Earn up to MYR 6,500 - Ricebowl

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated academic to join our academic team as a Senior Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality teaching and learning, research, curriculum development, student supervision and industry engagement in Artificial Intelligence and related areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions and other teaching and learning activities in Artificial Intelligence and related areas at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Develop, review and enhance curriculum, course content, teaching materials and assessments to ensure academic quality and relevance to current technological and industry developments.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects, research, dissertations and/or theses, where applicable.
• Conduct research and contribute to publications, conferences, research grants and other scholarly activities in Artificial Intelligence and related fields.
• Participate in programme development, programme review, accreditation, academic quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
• Provide academic guidance, consultation and mentoring to students.
• Incorporate current AI technologies, tools, methodologies and emerging developments into teaching and learning activities.
• Contribute to the development of practical learning, laboratories, industry projects and innovation initiatives related to Artificial Intelligence.
• Establish and maintain engagement with industry, professional bodies, government agencies, academic institutions and other relevant stakeholders.
• Promote responsible and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching, research and innovation.
• Participate in departmental, faculty and institutional committees, meetings, events and other academic activities.
• Perform other academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department/Dean.

Requirements

• Possess a PhD or Doctoral Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Intelligent Systems, or a closely related field from a recognised institution.
• Possess relevant teaching experience at tertiary level, preferably in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science or related computing disciplines.
• Demonstrate a strong track record in research, publications and scholarly activities.
• Experience in supervising undergraduate and/or postgraduate research projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of current developments, methodologies and applications in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Experience in curriculum development, programme review, accreditation and academic quality assurance will be an added advantage.
• Relevant industry, consultancy or applied research experience in Artificial Intelligence or related areas will be an added advantage.
• Experience in securing research grants and/or participating in collaborative research projects will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
