JOB SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Executive is responsible for managing procurement, inventory, and logistics activities to ensure materials and components are available to support production schedules, while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Plan and execute procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials, components, and tooling from approved suppliers.
- Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery in line with production schedules.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers/vendors; conduct supplier audits and performance reviews.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Coordinate with production planning, engineering, and quality teams to align material requirements with production needs.
- Track and expedite outstanding orders, resolving any delivery delays, discrepancies, or quality issues with suppliers.
- Manage import/export documentation, logistics, and coordination with freight forwarders/customs brokers as required.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and inventory data in the ERP system.
- Analyze supply chain data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry/regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100 for aerospace, if applicable).
- Prepare reports on procurement spend, supplier performance, and inventory status for management review.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline supply chain processes and reduce lead times.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (e.g., 2–5+ years) in supply chain, procurement, or logistics roles, preferably within the aerospace, manufacturing, or precision engineering industry.
- Good understanding of procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier negotiation.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing and inventory control.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and logistics coordination is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
