Role Description The Technician is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bukit Mertajam, with the flexibility to perform some tasks from home. In this position, the Technician supports installation, configuration, and maintenance of network, connectivity, and related digital infrastructure for enterprise and public sector clients. Daily responsibilities include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and escalating complex technical problems as needed. The Technician documents work performed, updates service records, and follows established safety, security, and quality standards. This role also assists in implementing new solutions, supporting upgrades, and ensuring minimal downtime and reliable performance for customers.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in IT or telecommunications, including basic networking, hardware troubleshooting, and system support.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, follow standard operating procedures, and apply logical problem-solving methods.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and service requests.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in IT, electronics, telecommunications, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid arrangement from Bukit Mertajam, including occasional on-site visits, after-hours support, or standby duty as required.
• Familiarity with cloud, cybersecurity, or smart services environments is an advantage, as is experience in enterprise or public sector support.
