Contract Duration: 3-Year Contract

Role Overview

The Programme Executive is responsible for the planning,development, and execution of a community-based sports programme for childrenbetween 7 to 12 years old. This role focuses on delivering impactful sportsinitiatives, mentoring children, providing basic coaching across a variety ofsports, and building strong partnerships with stakeholders to enhance programmereach and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Programme Development & Implementation

  • Design, plan, and implement children’s community sports programmes aligned with organisational goals.
  • Develop structured, engaging activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Ensure programmes are inclusive, safe, and age-appropriate.
  • Monitor programme timelines, deliverables, and budgets.

2. Coaching & Mentoring of Children

  • Provide basic coaching across a range of sports (e.g., football, basketball, athletics, etc.).
  • Mentor and guide children in developing teamwork, resilience, discipline, and sportsmanship.
  • Identify and support children’s developmental needs through sport-based engagement.

3. Volunteer Recruitment & Training

  • Recruit, onboard, and retain volunteers to support programme delivery.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions to equip volunteers with coaching, mentoring, and engagement skills.
  • Provide ongoing support, and development opportunities for volunteers.

4. Volunteer Management

  • Coordinate scheduling and deployment of volunteers for programme activities.
  • Maintain volunteer records and performance tracking.
  • Foster a positive volunteer experience and engagement culture.
  • Address volunteer issues and ensure adherence to programme standards and safeguarding policies.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community organisations, sponsors, and partners.
  • Network proactively to expand programme reach and participation.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships to enhance programme value and sustainability.

6. Programme Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to assess programme effectiveness.
  • Collect and analyse data to measure outcomes and impact.
  • Prepare reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational and reporting requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Community Development, Social Work, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in programme management, coaching, youth work, or community engagement.
  • Experience in coaching children and/or mentoring youth is highly preferred.
  • Experience in volunteer management is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Passion for youth development and community sports.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
