Job Summary

Develop and maintain process automation system hardware by designing, evaluating, and improving products to meet customer needs and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional specifications for new and redesigned products based on customer needs and performance requirements
• Create detailed electrical, or firmware design drawings that balance quality and cost competitiveness
• Plan and conduct prototype model evaluations for new and redesigned products, preparing comprehensive evaluation reports
• Perform component evaluations to support product redesign and component replacement decisions
• Analyze causes of minor product issues and implement effective countermeasures independently or with supervisory support
• Support production line and parts investigation activities as directed by superiors to ensure smooth operations
• Prepare technical information to facilitate parts localization and price negotiations
• Develop and follow work standards to improve departmental operations and work environment
• Propose and implement improvement ideas to enhance work processes under supervisory guidance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in electrical, or electronics engineering
• Interpersonal skills applied to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Teamwork skills to contribute positively to group objectives
• Planning and organizing skills to manage development tasks and schedules efficiently
• Problem analysis skills to identify issues and develop solutions
