Microsoft 365 (M365) Engineer (12-Month Renewable Contract)

About the Role

Our client, a leading global bank, is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 (M365) Engineer to join its Enterprise Infrastructure team on a 12-month renewable contract.

This role is ideal for an experienced M365 Engineer with a strong background in enterprise environments who enjoys delivering large-scale Microsoft 365 initiatives while ensuring the security, stability, and compliance of collaboration platforms.

You will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the bank's Microsoft 365 ecosystem, working closely with regional and global teams to deliver strategic cloud transformation initiatives, including Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise Microsoft 365 platforms, including:

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Exchange Online

  • SharePoint Online

  • OneDrive for Business

• Deliver end-to-end Microsoft 365 projects, including migrations, upgrades, feature rollouts, and tenant enhancements.

• Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of Microsoft 365 services across regional and global environments.

• Implement and maintain Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls, including:

  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

  • Retention Policies

  • eDiscovery

  • Microsoft Purview

• Automate operational tasks using PowerShell scripting.

• Provide Level 3 support for complex Microsoft 365 incidents and technical issues.

• Work closely with Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Compliance, Risk, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise solutions.

• Evaluate new Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI capabilities, and contribute to the technology roadmap.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Microsoft 365 engineering experience.

• Strong technical expertise in:

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Exchange Online

  • SharePoint Online

  • OneDrive for Business

• Good understanding of:

  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

  • Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance

  • DLP, Retention, Audit, and eDiscovery

• Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.

• Experience delivering Microsoft 365 projects within large enterprise environments.

• Experience working in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is highly preferred.

• Exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI capabilities, or cloud transformation initiatives will be an advantage.
