Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Operations to provide strategic leadership and oversee site-level operations within a contract logistics environment, driving performance, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily warehouse operations by managing workflows, optimizing facility layouts, and integrating automation technologies to enhance efficiency
  • Manage program P&L, control budgets, and allocate operational resources to meet business objectives
  • Drive cost management by reviewing overtime, third-party expenses, procurement, and exploring alternative operational solutions
  • Approve third-party costs, equipment requisitions, and purchase orders within financial approval limits to ensure fiscal responsibility
  • Serve as the primary commercial and operational liaison for customers, supporting contract renewals and scope expansion
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma projects, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and service quality
  • Conduct performance reviews, forecast capacity, and plan manpower based on business volume trends and operational needs
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and regulatory requirements including the Workplace Safety and Health Act, MOM guidelines, and SCDF regulations
  • Support customer Quarterly Business Reviews and internal steering meetings by analyzing data and delivering executive-level presentations
  • Utilize analytical models and data dashboards to inform operational strategies and support business decision-making

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline
  • 5–8 years of managerial experience within the contract logistics industry
  • Proven skills in P&L management, budget control, and resource allocation
  • Experience leading Lean implementations and continuous improvement project
  • Commercial acumen including understanding lease terms, pricing models, service level agreements, and penalties
  • Proficiency in analytical modelling and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and operational leadership skills
