Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our parks venue portfolio across Singapore. Based primarily at HortPark, you will oversee a team of Venue Executives, Visitor Services Executives, Floaters, and a Programme Coordinator supporting operations at Singapore Botanic Gardens, Fort Canning Park, HortPark, and Jurong Lake Gardens.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive operational excellence, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure the delivery of exceptional venue, visitor, and programme services across multiple locations.
Lead and oversee the daily operations across multiple park venues.
Manage staff deployment, scheduling, and manpower planning to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain high service standards and oversee service recovery for escalated customer issues.
Support frontline operations when required to ensure service continuity.
Coordinate operational activities with internal teams and external service providers.
Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
Oversee invoicing, payment administration, refunds, and financial documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Monitor operational records and prepare regular management reports.
Ensure booking records, operational documentation, and shared resources are maintained accurately.
Support annual budgeting, reporting, and audit requirements where applicable.
Serve as the primary liaison between clients, stakeholders, and operational teams.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with government agencies, contractors, vendors, and business partners.
Attend meetings with stakeholders and coordinate follow-up actions to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
Ensure operations comply with organisational policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
Support business continuity planning and operational risk management.
Monitor operational compliance and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery.
Lead, coach, and develop a multi-site operations team.
Conduct training and provide ongoing guidance to enhance employee performance and service standards.
Manage performance, leave planning, and workforce development.
Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performing team culture.
Degree in Hospitality, Events Management, Business, or a related discipline.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in venue operations, event management, hospitality, or a similar industry.
Proven experience leading and motivating teams across multiple locations.
Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Experience working with government procurement or invoicing systems (e.g. GeBIZ or Vendors@Gov) would be an advantage.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
Willing to work weekends and Public Holidays when operationally required.
