Responsibilities

Audio Visual (AV) Technician

Job Summary

The AV Technician is responsible for coordinating and supporting audiovisual requirements from the initial site recce through rehearsals to the successful execution of live events at the venue. The role includes liaising with clients, event organisers, and internal teams to understand technical requirements, testing and operating installed audiovisual equipment, monitoring system performance during events, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring smooth event delivery from start to finish. The role also includes preparing job-related documentation, completing job orders, maintaining equipment records, and supporting post-event reporting and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate AV requirements from site recce, planning, rehearsal, and live event execution.
  • Liaise with clients, event organisers, venue representatives, and internal teams on technical requirements and event schedules.
  • Test and ensure all installed AV systems are operational prior to each event.
  • Operate and monitor audio, video, presentation, and conferencing systems during events.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimise disruption.
  • Complete job orders, service reports, and other event-related documentation.
  • Maintain equipment usage records and report any faults requiring maintenance.
  • Provide professional on-site technical support and ensure successful event delivery from start to finish.

Requirements

  • NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma in Audio Visual, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in operating professional AV equipment for live events is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of sound systems, video displays, projectors, conferencing systems, and LED displays.
  • Able to troubleshoot AV equipment independently under time-sensitive situations.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office for job documentation and reporting.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required by event schedules.
  • Physically fit to handle AV equipment and perform setup and dismantling activities.
  • Possess a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,800.00 per month
