About the role

Global Coffee Resources Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Production Assistant (Coffee Roaster) to join our manufacturing team. This is a full-time position based at our facility in Bukit Jelutong, Selangor. In this role, you will support the coffee roasting operations, assisting in the production of high-quality roasted coffee products. You will work as part of a dynamic manufacturing team, contributing to our commitment to excellence in coffee production and ensuring our products meet the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the operation and monitoring of coffee roasting machines to ensure consistent roast profiles and product quality
• Loading and unloading raw coffee beans into roasting equipment and managing the roasting process
• Monitoring temperature, time, and other roasting parameters to ensure specifications are met
• Conducting quality checks on roasted coffee to verify colour, aroma, and overall quality standards
• Maintaining accurate records of production batches, including roast times, temperatures, and yield information
• Packaging roasted coffee products according to specifications and labelling requirements
• Maintaining a clean and organized production area, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Assisting with equipment maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues to supervisors
• Following all standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Supporting other team members and taking on additional tasks as required to meet production targets

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a machine operator, production assistant, or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment
• Familiarity with coffee roasting processes or willingness to learn technical roasting skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures consistently
• Good physical stamina and ability to work in a warm production environment
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Basic numeracy skills for recording production data and following specifications
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A commitment to health and safety practices in the workplace
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to operate machinery and handle repetitive tasks with care and precision
• Relevant qualifications in machinery operation or food production are advantageous
