Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support to ERP system users, including login, access, transaction, printing, reporting, workflow, and general system usage issues.
- Record and document ERP issues with the necessary information, such as affected users, transaction details, error messages, screenshots, steps performed, and business impact.
- Escalate unresolved ERP issues to the ERP vendor or relevant service provider and follow up until the issue is resolved.
- Act as the main liaison between ERP users, department representatives, management, and the ERP vendor for system support, bug fixes, enhancements, and customization requests.
- Gather, clarify, and document user requirements for ERP customization or enhancement requests, including the current process, identified problem, expected outcome, priority, and affected departments.
- Coordinate ERP customization and improvement projects, including requirement discussion, scope confirmation, vendor quotation, proposed timeline, testing, implementation, and project closure, subject to management approval.
- Review ERP vendor proposals and functional specifications with the requesting department to ensure that the proposed solution meets the agreed business requirements before development begins.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the relevant users, record testing results and defects, follow up on corrections, and obtain user or department confirmation before implementation into the live system.
- Monitor the progress of ERP support cases, enhancement requests, and customization projects, and provide status updates to the requesting users and management.
- Provide day-to-day IT support to all staff.
- Troubleshoot PC and laptop hardware issues.
- Troubleshoot Windows operating system and standard software
- (Office, email, browsers, etc.).
- Troubleshoot basic network issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, IP, printer sharing, internet access).
- Support and maintain file servers, NAS, and ERP access
- (user login, connectivity, mapping).
- Support office equipment such as printers, scanners, projectors,
- and meeting room devices.
- Perform routine IT housekeeping, including OS and software updates,
- and antivirus/endpoint checks.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting backup status (e.g. job success/failure).
- Handle user account tasks: new user setup, disable accounts,
- and password resets with proper approval.
- Maintain IT asset records (PCs, laptops, monitors, network devices,
- licenses, and accessories).
- Assist with basic firewall, router, and VPN configuration under supervision.
- Procurement of IT devices, equipments & accessories
- Follow and implement IT policies, security guidelines, and documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems,Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Information Technology, Business Computing and Information Systems
- Minimum 1 year experience in IT Support
- Prefably 2 to 3 years of knowledge & experience in ERP system
- IT knowledge & skills
- Good communication and management skills.
- Ability to install, configure, and secure Windows operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP address, DNS, DHCP, gateway, subnet).
- Good understanding of PC hardware components and troubleshooting.
