We have an Immediate Opening Software Asset Management (SAM) Lead with our reputed Client.

Client Location KL, Malaysia

Work Mode – Onsite

Experience: 7+ years

Role Summary:

Lead the SAM function to govern software licensing, optimize costs, and ensure compliance across the enterprise software estate (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, and specialized vendors).

Key Responsibilities

· Own the end-to-end SAM lifecycle: procurement, deployment, reconciliation, true-up, and retirement.

· Drive license consolidation and cost-optimization initiatives (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe).

· Maintain the software asset register and ensure alignment with CMDB / ITAM records.

· Manage vendor audits and ensure license compliance posture.

· Establish SAM policies, governance forums, and reporting to management.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field.

· Minimum 7 years in SAM / ITAM, with at least 3 years in a lead role.

· Strong knowledge of licensing models (Microsoft EA, Adobe VIP, Oracle, IBM PVU, SaaS subscriptions).

· Hands-on experience with SAM tools (ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Snow, or equivalent).

· Certifications preferred: CSAM, CITAM, or ITIL v4.

· Strong vendor negotiation, analytical, and governance skills.
