Performance Tester / Regression Tester

Location: Kuala Lumpur (Onsite)
Salary: Up to RM18,000/month
Employment Type : 1 Year Renewable Full Time Contract

Job Summary

The Performance Tester / Regression Tester is responsible for validating the performance, stability, scalability, and functionality of infrastructure and applications during data centre migration, disaster recovery (DR), and production readiness activities. The role ensures systems meet business SLAs through structured performance and regression testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, scalability, and regression test plans.
• Create test scenarios and scripts using tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar.
• Measure and compare system performance before and after migration to identify bottlenecks.
• Perform end-to-end regression testing to ensure no functional degradation across migration phases.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and architecture teams to analyze test results and recommend performance improvements.
• Support DR testing, mock runs, cutover validation, and go-live readiness assessments.
• Prepare test reports, performance metrics, and testing documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6-9 years of experience in performance and/or regression testing.
• Hands-on experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, or equivalent testing tools.
• Knowledge of application performance testing, system monitoring, and root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
