We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Assistant Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfilment, and distribution activities while maintaining high standards of productivity, inventory accuracy, safety, and customer service. The Warehouse Assistant Manager will lead warehouse supervisors and operational teams, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in planning, coordinating, and managing daily warehouse operations.
- Oversee receiving, put-away, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, loading, and dispatch activities.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs, including productivity, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock audits, and stock reconciliation.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate manpower deployment, shift planning, and daily operational activities to optimise productivity.
- Supervise warehouse supervisors and operational staff, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), warehouse safety regulations, and housekeeping (5S) standards.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, Halal, and other regulatory requirements where applicable.
- Monitor warehouse equipment, racking, and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and safe operation.
- Prepare operational reports and provide updates on warehouse performance to Management.
- Support customer audits, operational reviews, and resolve operational issues or customer concerns.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, service quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Support warehouse system implementation, automation, and digitalisation initiatives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 4-7 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in 3PL, FMCG, food warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution environments is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, warehouse KPIs, and process improvement.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple operational priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
