Monitoring Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur (Onsite)

Salary: Up to RM14,000/month

Job Summary

The Monitoring Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise monitoring solutions to ensure the availability, performance, and health of infrastructure, networks, applications, and security platforms. The role supports the New Data Centre by enabling proactive monitoring, incident detection, and operational visibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain monitoring solutions across infrastructure, networks, applications, and security platforms.
• Configure dashboards, alerts, and event rules using tools such as Nagios, ELK, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
• Integrate new or migrated systems into enterprise monitoring platforms.
• Perform proactive health checks, performance tuning, and capacity monitoring.
• Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and failover readiness by validating monitoring across sites.
• Provide monitoring insights to support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Prepare operational reports, documentation, and monitoring standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in infrastructure or enterprise monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, ELK, Dynatrace, Grafana, or similar.
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, networking, and cloud environments is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
