Role: Demand Planning Officer

Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain rolling demand forecast for assigned SKUs.
• Analyze historical sales data, market trends, seasonality, and promotion activities to improve forecast accuracy.
• Update and maintain forecast in SAP / planning system.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and forecast bias; highlight gaps and improvement actions.
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, and Operations teams to align demand requirements.
• Support monthly demand review / S&OP meetings with latest forecast updates.
• Monitor sales performance vs forecast and provide variance analysis.
• Identify potential stock-out, excess stock, and inventory risks.
• Support new product launch, promotion planning, and phase-in / phase-out activities.
• Prepare demand planning reports and KPI tracking.
• Maintain SKU master data and ensure forecast information is accurate and updated.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve demand planning process.

Key Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, data analysis, forecasting, and reporting).
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, or Power BI is an added advantage.

Key Skills and Experience

• 2–3 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, or a related role, preferably within the FMCG or consumer goods industry.
• Hands-on experience in demand forecasting, sales analysis, inventory planning, and forecast accuracy improvement.
• Experience managing multiple SKUs and sales channels while supporting inventory optimization and S&OP processes.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, Procurement, and Warehouse teams.
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems for forecasting and planning activities is an advantage.
