The Production Technician is responsible for operating machines involved in plastic recycling and compounding processes. The role also includes carrying out basic machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to ensure smooth and efficient production. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machines safely and efficiently.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust process parameters when required.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Carry out simple machine modifications, repairs, welding, and fabrication work where required.
• Record and report process parameters, production data, maintenance activities, and material movement.
• Achieve daily production targets while maintaining product quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Clean production machines and maintain good housekeeping in the production area.
• Assist the Production Supervisor with other production-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Candidates with experience as a Production Technician, Machine Technician, Maintenance Technician, or in machine repair are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Experience in welding, metal fabrication, machine maintenance, or industrial equipment repair will be an added advantage.
• Strong interest in machinery and hands-on mechanical work.
• Hardworking, responsible, and willing to learn.
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry materials safely.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Able to commit to overtime an work in weekends when required.
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including night shifts.
• Forklift driving experience or a WSQ Operate Forklift certification is an added advantage.
