We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements, and providing accurate financial reporting to support business decisions.

The successful candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
• Profit & Loss Statement
• Balance Sheet
• Cash Flow Statement
• Management Reports
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage and process monthly payroll accurately, including statutory deductions and contributions.
• Prepare and submit statutory filings, including SST (where applicable), corporate tax schedules, and other regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, banks, and government authorities.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Companies Act, and other statutory regulations.
• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Monitor company cash flow and recommend strategies to improve financial performance.
• Perform financial analysis and identify business risks, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvements.
• Review accounting records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Assist management in financial planning and strategic decision-making.
• Supervise and provide guidance to junior accounting staff (if applicable).
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Handle ad hoc finance and accounting assignments as required by Management.

Requirements: Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 1* years in a Senior Accountant or similar role*.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS) and statutory compliance.
• Experience in handling full sets of accounts independently.
• EPF (KWSP)
• SOCSO (PERKESO)
• EIS
• PCB (LHDN)
• Experience in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Familiarity with external audits and tax compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis).
• Experience using accounting software such as SQL Accounting or similar ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Leadership experience and the ability to mentor junior team members will be an added advantage.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).
