An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rust Software Engineer to join a high-performing technology team in Singapore. In this role, you will design, develop and enhance scalable, high-throughput applications on modern cloud-native platforms. Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance, business-critical applications.
• Build scalable, multithreaded solutions using Rust.
• Develop and integrate microservices and distributed systems.
• Optimise application performance, latency and memory utilisation.
• Collaborate closely with global engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation through to deployment and support.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in a professional environment.
• Strong commercial development experience with Rust.
• Solid understanding of concurrency, multithreading, asynchronous programming and software design principles.
• Experience building distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs or gRPC services.
• Hands-on experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS or SNS.
• Exposure to AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and automated testing frameworks.
• Exposure to modern front-end technologies such as React or Angular is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
