About the Role

We are looking for a technically driven Application Engineer to join our team. In this customer-facing role, you will provide engineering expertise to support customers and sales teams, ensuring the successful application of our products and solutions. You will work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements, identify opportunities for product optimization, and deliver value-added engineering solutions.

This role combines technical problem-solving, customer engagement, and commercial awareness, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across engineering and sales functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application support to customers and the sales team, ensuring products are applied correctly and effectively.
• Work with customers to identify design improvements through Value Analysis (VA), Value Engineering (VE), application reviews, rationalization activities, line walks, and product tear-downs.
• Collaborate with customers' engineering, production, and quality teams to develop new applications and increase conversion opportunities.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and product requirements while considering manufacturing, assembly, and functional requirements.
• Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings in accordance with company design standards and obtain customer approvals where required.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support and work closely with Quality and Operations teams to resolve customer issues.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of company products and manufacturing capabilities to provide effective technical solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, product documentation, and engineering proposals for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines and ensure timely responses to customer requirements and project milestones.
• Identify Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) improvement opportunities by optimizing logistics, inventory, assembly efficiency, handling processes, and overall C-parts management.
• Support technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer workshops.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in an engineering, applications engineering, technical sales, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to solve technical and engineering challenges.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar CAD platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to work independently.
• Possess a valid driving license.
