About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our Global Finance team based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting directly to the Global CFO, this role primarily supports our businesses across the United States and Europe, partnering with cross functional teams to drive financial planning, forecasting, cash flow management and finance operations.

In addition to supporting our international business, the role will oversee finance related matters for the Malaysian entity, including coordinating with external service providers and ensuring local compliance requirements are met.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional seeking broad exposure to international business operations, partnering directly with senior finance leadership while collaborating with colleagues across the United States, Europe, China, Vietnam and Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic business forecasts for assigned business units.
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts to support business planning and funding requirements.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision making.
  • Prepare management reports, financial analyses and presentations for senior management.

Finance Operations

  • Partner with finance and business teams across the United States, Europe, China, Vietnam and Singapore to support finance operations.
  • Support treasury activities, including cash management and intercompany funding.
  • Drive continuous improvements to finance processes, reporting and internal controls.

Compliance & Governance

  • Lead indirect tax compliance across the Group's United States and European operations, including the preparation, review and timely submission of indirect tax returns.
  • Monitor changes in indirect tax regulations, assess their business impact and implement appropriate actions to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Manage statutory reporting and finance related compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions, liaising with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities where required.

Malaysian Finance Oversight

  • Oversee finance matters for the Malaysian entity, coordinating with outsourced accounting providers and external professional advisors to ensure timely financial reporting and statutory compliance.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent) is an advantage but not essential.

Experience

  • 5 years or more of relevant experience in finance, financial planning, commercial finance or accounting.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis or cash flow management.
  • Hands on experience managing indirect tax compliance and statutory reporting is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to multinational or cross border business operations would be an advantage.

Skills & Attributes

We're looking for someone who:

  • enjoys working in a fast paced and international business environment.
  • is comfortable working independently while collaborating with teams across different countries.
  • has strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • communicates confidently with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.
  • is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • is willing to learn and take ownership of new areas of responsibility.
  • is proficient in Microsoft Office applications and has experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite.
  • fluent in written and spoken English.

Reporting Line

  • Reports directly to the Global CFO.
  • Based in Kuala Lumpur as part of the Global Finance team.
  • Partners closely with the Finance Manager in Singapore and collaborates with colleagues across the United States, Europe, China and Vietnam.
  • Acts as the finance lead for the Malaysia office, coordinating with external accounting firms, tax advisors and other professional service providers on local finance matters.
