Responsibilities

Join Homage and Help Transform Care in Singapore

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Homage Academy Lead Trainer to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of our caregiver training programmes. You'll equip our Care Professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll lead onboarding, deliver training, conduct competency assessments, and drive continuous improvements to our curriculum, training quality, and operational readiness.

If you're passionate about developing people, delivering engaging learning experiences, and raising the standard of care, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As the Homage Academy Lead Trainer, you will be the primary trainer and quality owner for Homage's Basic Caregiver Training, CPR/AED Training, and specialised readiness programmes (including Rainbow Centre Training), ensuring every Care Professional who completes training is set up to deliver safe, competent, high-quality care from their first visit.

You report directly to the Care Professional Operations Manager, and your primary function is to deliver and continuously improve caregiver training — running structured, high-quality sessions, maintaining consistent assessment standards, coordinating floor instructors, and escalating capacity or quality risks with clear recommendations rather than just status updates.

You are the technical and quality anchor for CP training, not just a session facilitator. Your success is measured by the consistency and quality of training delivered, how well Rainbow Centre and other specialised readiness training pipelines run, and your ability to keep the training calendar running at capacity without delaying CP activations.

What You'll Be Doing

Goal: Ensure every scheduled Basic Caregiver and CPR/AED training session runs on time, to a consistent standard, and produces Care Professionals who are fully competency-assessed and ready for activation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Basic Caregiver Training (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) covering theory, mindsets, values, and practical caregiving skills, alongside the Homage CarePro app tutorial.
  • Deliver CPR/AED Training (Tuesday, Thursday) and conduct QCPR practical assessments for all attendees.
  • Conduct manual transfer and other practical competency assessments; ensure every CP is signed off before progressing to approval.
  • Coordinate with floor instructors to ensure sufficient coverage and consistent delivery standards across sessions, activating instructors ahead of each training day.
  • Flag early where training capacity is at risk of falling behind CP recruitment intake volumes, and propose a recovery plan to the Care Professional Operations Manager.

Goal: Ensure specialised, bespoke training programmes are co-designed with partner organisations so CPs are genuinely equipped for the specific job scope and client needs they will encounter on the ground.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of bespoke SPED Centre Training — a 2-day programme covering medical-condition-specific theory, site visitation, retrospective/theory deep-dive, and role play for the care of person with disabilities.
  • Partner with the Service Coordination team and Partnerships Manager to keep curriculum content aligned with actual client needs and jobscope expectations as role engagement evolves or newly qualified.
  • Identify new partner-training opportunities where existing Basic Caregiver Training does not fully prepare CPs for specific client segments.
  • Debrief and gather feedback after each bespoke training run to refine content for future cohorts.

Goal: Address CP performance issues on the ground quickly and effectively through in-person coaching and targeted re-training when escalated by the Care Professional Engagement Team, reducing repeat incidents and protecting care quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-person coaching for Severity 1 incidents escalated from phone coaching (1st/2nd warning stage).
  • Deliver targeted re-training modules — Manual Transfer Competency, Bed Sponging, and Diaper Changing for High Mobility assistant required clients — based on CP Coaching escalations.
  • Maintain the CP Escalation Tracker, logging case type, volume, and resolution status.
  • Work with the CP engagement team to ensure consistent escalation handling and clear handoff points between phone coaching, in-person coaching, and re-training.
  • Feed recurring incident patterns back into training curriculum and assessment design to prevent repeat issues.

Goal: Ensure assessment standards are clearly defined, consistently applied across trainers and floor instructors, and reviewed against post-deployment performance data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the practical and theory assessment frameworks for Basic Caregiver and CPR/AED Training, ensuring consistent application across trainers and floor instructors.
  • Review post-deployment CP performance and incident data to identify where training or assessment content needs revision.
  • Maintain training and assessment records — including practical assessment and feedback response sheets — accurately and audit-ready at all times for audits.

Goal: Keep training administration accurate and timely, and ensure floor instructor coverage is planned and activated ahead of need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee attendance tracking, certificate issuance via the Smiley CP Dashboard, and consolidation of practical/theory assessment and feedback response sheets.
  • Activate floor instructors ahead of each CPR/AED session and manage DACI handoff for floor-instructor-led tasks (e.g. QCPR result entry).
  • Mark attendance and approve documentation for CP onboarding (IHS Onboarding) in Smiley.
  • Ensure training records and certificates are issued within agreed turnaround time.

What We're Looking For

  • WSQ ACTA or ACLP certification is required.
  • 3–5 years' experience in caregiver/vocational training, clinical instruction, or a related field, with experience designing and delivering competency-based training programmes.
  • Proven ability to manage training programmes end-to-end, from curriculum design and facilitation to assessment and quality outcomes.
  • Strong organisational and instructional design skills, with the ability to oversee multiple training cohorts, trainer schedules, and assessment cycles while proactively identifying capacity or quality risks.
  • Experience preparing and presenting training performance reports (e.g. attendance, pass rates, deployment outcomes, incident trends) to stakeholders.
  • Healthcare, nursing, or community caregiving experience is essential. Experience training freelance or part-time trainers, or working within a fast-growing or gig workforce environment, is an advantage.

Why Join Homage?

  • Make a meaningful impact on the future of healthcare and community care.
  • Work alongside passionate, mission-driven colleagues.
  • Gain exposure across partnerships, operations, healthcare delivery, and technology.
  • Grow your career in one of Southeast Asia's leading healthtech organisations.

If you're excited about shaping the future of care through training, capability building, and continuous learning, we'd love to hear from you.
