MECO is seeking talented and forward-thinking Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor with 1-5 years' experience in building services installation. Fresh graduates will also be considered. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with MECO, you will enjoy outstanding opportunities for innovation, creative problem solving, and direct collaboration with project team members.

Responsibilities:

• Measure quantities from drawings.

• Issue detailed tender enquiries.

• Analyze and negotiate most competitive tenders based on cost, program, performance, and quality.

• Submit detailed tender analysis to Director for approval.

• Ensure all sub-contract orders are signed and returned by the sub-contractors in a timely manner.

• Attend pre/post tender, pre-start, management, and design team meetings.

• Share information with colleagues to encourage flow of information.

• Working to deadlines set by the Director and others within the team.

• Ensure continuous communication with other team members to review contract progress and address immediately associated issues.

Requirements:
The candidate must possess advanced communication, both verbal and written, organizational and interpersonal skills. Additional requirements include:

• Higher Certificate/Diploma or above in Quantity Surveying / Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services Engineering or related disciplines.

• Able to read and interpret drawings.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge in AutoCAD/BIM.

• Develop negotiation skills in order to negotiate best value packages.

• Develop knowledge of contractual and liability issues.

• Excellent communication and time management skills.

• Knowledge of relevant building codes & standards applicable to MECO project types.

• High level of responsiveness and collaboration with teammates, contractors, and clients.
