METROLOGY & DEFECT ANALYSIS TECHNICIAN
Key Responsibilities
• Perform wafer measurements using approved recipes to provide accurate feedback on product quality.
• Operate metrology and inspection tools to identify defects and support manufacturing operations.
• Collect, organize, and maintain measurement and defect data for engineering review.
• Monitor equipment and process performance using SPC charts and qualification criteria.
• Follow sampling plans to identify process deviations and equipment abnormalities.
• Escalate quality, process, or equipment issues promptly.
• Support tool qualification, equipment recovery, and routine maintenance activities.
• Perform first level troubleshooting for metrology and inspection tools.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to improve tool reliability and availability.
• Assist engineers with data gathering, preliminary checks, and defect investigations.
• Perform basic data analysis to identify trends, common issues, and potential root causes.
• Prepare accurate reports and summaries to support process and equipment improvement.
• Support projects focused on improving defect detection, measurement accuracy, efficiency, and tool uptime.
• Collaborate with engineers, tool owners, and suppliers on new technologies and process improvements.
• Maintain competency in tool operation, recipe management, troubleshooting, and recovery procedures.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Requirements
• Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent in related engineering disciplines.
• Semiconductor manufacturing, metrology, inspection, or equipment experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn.

• Able to work 12-hour shifts.
