About the role

KLINIK KOK is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinic Assistant / Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Subang Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our clinic. As a Clinic Assistant / Medical Assistant, you will be at the forefront of our patient interactions, ensuring that every individual receives excellent service and attention from the moment they arrive at our facility. This role is essential to our mission of providing accessible and high-quality healthcare to our community.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and assist with registration and check-in procedures
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations
• Assist clinical staff with patient examinations and medical procedures
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, organised and stocked with necessary supplies
• Take patient vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiratory rate
• Obtain patient medical histories and document information accurately in patient records
• Assist with basic wound care, dressing changes and patient hygiene support as required
• Sterilise and maintain medical instruments and equipment
• Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic calendar
• Provide basic patient education regarding health conditions and treatment plans
• Support inventory management and order medical supplies when needed
• Assist with administrative duties including filing, photocopying and data entry

What we're looking for

• Secondary education or equivalent qualification as a minimum requirement
• Certification or diploma in Medical Assistance, Nursing or a related healthcare field is highly preferred
• Previous experience working in a clinical, medical or healthcare setting is advantageous
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare professionals
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate medical records
• Physical capability to perform duties including standing for extended periods and assisting patients with mobility
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems
• A compassionate approach to patient care with genuine empathy and patience
• Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions from clinical supervisors
• Malaysian citizen or valid work permit holder
• Fluency in Bahasa and English is essential; Mandarin or additional languages are a bonus
