Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight: Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring high-level accuracy and strict adherence to internal controls.
Regulatory Stewardship: Take ownership of daily Financial Resources Rules (FRR) calculations and ensure complete compliance with SFC requirements regarding client money segregation and reconciliation.
Financial Reporting: Drive the production of comprehensive management accounts, providing the leadership team with actionable insights, detailed variance analysis, and trend reporting.
Process Improvement: Review existing financial workflows to enhance efficiency and implement best practices in cash management and liquidity planning.
Banking & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key banking partners to optimize service levels and treasury operations.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical support to junior staff, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development.
Audit & Compliance: Act as the primary liaison for annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years in financial accounting in financial services industry.
Knowledge of SFC regulations, specifically FRR and client money rules, is preferably
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional qualification (HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent) is an advantage.
Strong technical proficiency in accounting software and Excel; prior experience in process optimization is a significant asset.
Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
A proactive problem-solver with a meticulous approach to detail, capable of driving change and managing sensitive financial data with the highest level of integrity.
Candidate with more experience will be considered for an Assistant Manager position.
