About the Role I

We are looking for a Cloud Cost & FinOps Engineer to join a Global Health and Travel Security Organization. You'll own cost visibility, optimization, and governance across our AWS and Azure environments — working directly with engineering and finance stakeholders across 90+ countries to make sure cloud spend scales sensibly with the business, not faster than it.

What You'll Do

• Monitor, analyze, and report on multi-cloud spend across AWS and Azure using native tools (Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management) and/or third-party FinOps platforms
• Design and enforce tagging and cost-allocation standards to support accurate chargeback/showback across regions and business units
• Identify and execute optimization actions: rightsizing, reserved instances/savings plans, autoscaling policies, decommissioning idle resources
• Build cost anomaly detection and budget alerting to catch spend spikes early
• Partner with engineering teams to embed cost-awareness into architecture decisions
• Translate billing and usage data into clear reporting for Finance and Technology leadership
• Support forecasting and budget planning cycles with accurate, defensible cloud spend data

What You'll Bring

• 3–5 years' experience in a cloud engineering, DevOps, SRE, or cloud cost/FinOps role
• Hands-on working knowledge of both AWS and Azure (multi-cloud experience is essential, not preferred)
• Practical experience with cost tools: AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or third-party FinOps platforms (e.g. CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, Vantage)
• Understanding of cloud pricing models: reserved instances, savings plans, spot/low-priority VMs
• Comfortable working with tagging policies, IaC (Terraform preferred), and basic scripting for automation
• Strong communication skills — able to present cost data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or
