Job Summary
You will support day-to-day finance and administrative operations in a growing General Insurance brokerage, maintaining accurate financial records and assisting finance processes while working closely with the Finance Director.
Responsibilities
Accounts & Bookkeeping
- Record daily bookkeeping and accounting entries to maintain accurate financial data
- Accurately record receipts, payments, and bank transactions to ensure financial integrity
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to support cash flow
- Prepare and issue invoices to facilitate timely billing and revenue collection
- Monitor incoming payments and proactively follow up on outstanding amounts
Reconciliations & Administration
- Perform bank reconciliations to verify financial accuracy and completeness
- Reconcile client payments, insurer statements, and commission records to ensure consistency
- Maintain organised and accurate financial documentation for audit readiness
- Support administrative tasks related to finance operations to enhance process efficiency
Finance Operations Support
- Assist with credit control and payment collections to improve receivables management
- Support month-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management decision-making
- Handle financial information with confidentiality and accuracy to protect sensitive data
- Perform ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as assigned to support team objectives
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of accounting or finance experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
